2025 Acura RDX Full Specs – While the 2025 Acura RDX may not boast the same prestigious badge as its European competitors like the BMW X3, Porsche Macan, or Mercedes-Benz GLC-class, it offers a compelling value proposition. This premium compact SUV delivers a similar luxury experience at a significantly lower price point. Powered by a rev-happy 272-hp turbo-four, the RDX is peppy and nimble, though its transmission can sometimes be clumsy and the brake pedal feels squishy. Standard features include all-wheel drive and a comprehensive suite of technology, such as a large infotainment display and driver-assistance systems. For buyers willing to prioritize value over brand recognition, the RDX presents an attractive option for a luxury vehicle with manageable monthly payments.

2025 Acura RDX Exterior Design –

The 2025 Acura RDX is undeniably a head-turner. Its striking presence is amplified by the new Urban Gray Pearl paint option, which pairs beautifully with the exclusive 20-inch Berlina Black wheels available on the A-Spec trim. Gloss-black accents throughout the A-Spec further enhance its sporty and sophisticated demeanor, making it a standout on the road. For the 2025 model year, all RDX models receive a refreshed front end, showcasing Acura’s latest design language.
A prominent frameless Diamond Pentagon grille with a new mesh pattern lends a more aggressive edge to its appearance. Other notable exterior features include Acura’s signature Jewel-eye LED headlights, “Chicane” LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, and puddle lights. Completing the package are power-folding side mirrors and sophisticated LED-illuminated tail lights.
2025 Acura RDX Engine and Performance –
All Acura RDX models use a 272-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (Acura calls it SH-AWD). The RDX feels quick when you start driving from a stop, and it has enough power for everyday driving. The transmission could be better at shifting down gears, especially when you use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. When you accelerate hard, the engine makes a high-pitched noise, kind of like the old Acura NSX sports car. However, most of that sound is fake and comes through the car’s speakers.
The RDX we tested had 20-inch wheels and special adjustable suspension. While it wasn’t perfect at smoothing out bumps on rough roads, it was never uncomfortable or loud. The all-wheel-drive system also helps the RDX handle corners well, and the steering feels precise. Overall, the RDX felt very balanced when driving. The only real downside was the brake pedal. It didn’t feel consistent or responsive, which made it a little less enjoyable to drive.
2025 Acura RDX Fuel Economy and MPG –
The 2025 Acura RDX gets about 21 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway, according to official estimates. The A-Spec version, which comes with bigger wheels, gets the same gas mileage. The RDX can reach a top speed of 112 miles per hour. In our testing, the A-Spec version of the RDX reached 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. This is a typical result for a compact luxury SUV.
2025 Acura RDX Interior –

The inside of the RDX has a lot going on. The area in the middle of the dashboard has many buttons, a touchpad, and a big knob to change driving modes. Our test car had the A-Spec package, which includes eye-catching red seats and other special design touches. The RDX’s interior is well-made and comes with nice standard features like ambient lighting, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control. However, it doesn’t quite feel as luxurious as some other luxury SUVs. It feels sportier, more like a souped-up Honda CR-V.
The materials inside are good quality, and the driver’s seat can be adjusted high or low enough to make both SUV fans and driving enthusiasts happy. The back seats can be easily folded down flat using handles on the seats themselves or from the cargo area. With the back seats up, we fit eight carry-on bags in the cargo area. With the seats folded down, we could fit 22 carry-on bags.
2025 Acura RDX Infotainment and Connectivity –
Every 2025 Acura RDX comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen on the dashboard. You can also control it with a touchpad in the center console, but it might take some time to learn how to use it. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot. If you want extras like navigation, USB ports for the back seats, and a premium 12-speaker ELS Studio sound system, you can get the optional Technology package.
2025 Acura RDX Safety Features –
The 2025 Acura RDX prioritizes safety with a comprehensive suite of standard driver-assistance technologies. Every model includes features like forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. For enhanced safety, the Technology package adds even more features, such as front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Prospective buyers can find detailed crash-test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety 2 (IIHS) websites.

2025 Acura RDX Release Date –
The 2025 Acura RDX launched in the United States on August 27, 2024, and became available in Canada shortly after, on September 4, 2024.
2025 Acura RDX Price –
The 2025 Acura RDX starts at $46,050. With options and packages, the price can climb to $55,800. Acura offers the RDX in one main version, but you can add different packages to get more features. The A-Spec version is more expensive but doesn’t make the car perform any better, so it’s probably not worth it. The Technology package is a good choice. It adds things like a nicer sound system, navigation, and nicer leather seats. If you want the best suspension and a head-up display, you’ll need the Advance package, but that will make the car a lot more expensive.
2025 Acura RDX Competitors –
The 2025 Acura RDX competes with other luxury compact SUVs in the market, including the BMW X3, Lexus NX, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Volvo XC60. These vehicles all vie for the attention of discerning buyers seeking a blend of performance, luxury, and practicality in a compact package.
