2026 Aston Martin Vantage – “Aston Martin, known for its leisurely pace of new model releases, has surprised us with the swift arrival of the 2026 Vantage Roadster. Following closely on the heels of the updated 2025 Vantage Coupe, this convertible amps up the luxury and excitement. Both models share the same turf, offering a powerful and exclusive alternative to the Porsche 911 Turbo and Mercedes-AMG GT63, which some drivers might find too ordinary.

A thunderous 656-horsepower twin-turbo V8 roars to life in both versions, but sadly, the manual transmission is gone. Aston Martin boasts that the Roadster’s convertible mechanisms add only a minimal 132 pounds, and they’ve fine-tuned the suspension and structure to compensate.

The choice between the open-air freedom of the Roadster and the secure cabin of the Coupe is yours. But there’s no denying the Vantage’s raw appeal. Its rear-wheel-drive chassis delivers an exhilarating driving experience, and the engine’s intoxicating exhaust note is simply unforgettable.”

2026 Aston Martin Vantage Engine and Performance –

The Vantage Coupe and Roadster share a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with roots in Mercedes-AMG technology. For 2025, this engine received a significant overhaul. New turbos, revised cam profiles, an optimized compression ratio, and improved cooling systems all contribute to a substantial power boost. The result? A potent 656 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, a massive increase of 128 horsepower and 85 pound-feet over the previous Vantage F1 Edition, which previously held the title of the most powerful Vantage.

Power is channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both the coupe and roadster benefit from a 7% stiffer chassis, revised adaptive dampers, and other enhancements, including new Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tires for improved grip.

In our initial test drive of the Vantage coupe, we were thoroughly impressed. The car feels incredibly responsive, with a communicative brake pedal, precise steering, and a neutral handling balance that makes it a joy to drive. The upgraded V8 engine delivers exhilarating performance, and the transmission is a seamless partner.

2026 Aston Martin Vantage Top Speed and Acceleration –

In our tests, the 2025 Vantage sprinted from zero to 60 mph in a mere 3.2 seconds, edging out the previous F1 Edition in the same test. Aston Martin claims the Roadster will match the Coupe’s 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, but we anticipate even quicker results when we get our hands on a Roadster for testing. Both models are electronically limited to a top speed of 202 mph.

2026 Aston Martin Vantage Fuel Economy and MPG –

The EPA estimates the Vantage’s fuel economy at 15 mpg in city driving, 22 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined. We haven’t conducted our own 75-mph highway fuel economy test yet, but we’ll update this information once we do. For more details on the Vantage’s fuel economy, please visit the EPA’s website.

Aston Martin has always offered a wide range of customization options, from full leather interiors to carbon fiber accents. However, the result could sometimes feel a bit disjointed. The 2025 Vantage introduces a thoroughly revised interior. While still a snug two-seater, it now boasts modern touches like a redesigned center console and a new infotainment touchscreen, creating a more cohesive and contemporary feel.

Storage space remains limited, with only a shallow center console bin and door pockets. However, the Roadster’s clever “Z-fold” roof design helps maximize trunk space. Although slightly smaller than the Coupe’s, Aston Martin claims the Roadster can still accommodate a full-sized golf bag.

2026 Aston Martin Vantage Features –

A larger 12.5-inch touchscreen with new software replaces the previous 8.0-inch unit. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard features, and the navigation system includes support for What3Words destinations.

The new Aston Martin app connects seamlessly with the vehicle, the app itself, and Aston Martin’s servers through an onboard cellular connection, creating a truly connected ownership experience.
A 390-watt, 11-speaker Aston system is standard, but audiophiles can opt for a more powerful 1170-watt, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system.
