Maruti Jimny – India’s leading vehicle manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the facelift version of its popular off-roading car Jimny in the market soon. Due to the increasing influence of Mahindra Thar, Jimny’s sales have seen some decline, in view of which the company had recently given a huge discount on it. However, to further boost sales, Maruti Suzuki has decided to introduce its facelift version by making some changes in the design and features of Jimny. It is expected that this new model will attract more customers.

The new Maruti Suzuki Jimny has a 1.5 liter petrol engine. This engine is four-cylinder and hybrid technology has been used in it. This engine generates a maximum power of 105 horsepower and a maximum torque of 134 Newton meters. Both 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox options are available with this engine.
Maruti Jimny Mileage –
The Maruti Jimny is currently only offered with a petrol engine. In terms of fuel efficiency, it delivers a respectable mileage ranging from 16.39 to 16.94 kilometers per liter. This fuel efficiency figure remains consistent whether you opt for the manual or automatic transmission.

The new Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been given many modern features. The wheelbase, at 2,590 mm, provides a stable platform, while the generous ground clearance of 210 mm allows for easy navigation over rough terrain. The front and rear tracks, measuring 1,395 mm and 1,405 mm respectively, contribute to the Jimny’s surefootedness and stability on and off the road.

Safety has been given top priority in the new Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Maruti Jimny Price and Launch Date –
The new Maruti Suzuki Jimny can be offered with two drivetrain options – rear wheel drive and four wheel drive. The rear wheel drive variant is expected to be priced between Rs 12 lakh to Rs 16 lakh, while the four wheel drive variant will be slightly more expensive and can be priced between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. The company plans to launch this new Jimny by the end of June 2025.
Maruti Jimny Rivals –
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny faces stiff competition in the off-road segment. Key rivals include the Mahindra Thar, known for its rugged charm and powerful engines, and the Force Gurkha, a true-blue off-roader with a strong focus on capability. The Mahindra Bolero Neo, while not as hardcore, also competes with the Jimny by offering a blend of ruggedness and practicality at a more accessible price point.
